TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

All massage therapies offered are for the purposes of stress reduction, relaxation, releasing muscle tension, increasing flexibility, improving circulation and improving your general sense of wellbeing. Your massage therapist is not medically trained and therefore is unable to offer any diagnosis of medical conditions, diseases or illnesses. At your first appointment you will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire as part of your initial consultation, and you will be asked for signed consent to receive your treatment. Please note that some medical conditions such as cancer or recent surgery are contra-indications for massage and therefore may either prevent the therapist from being able to offer massage therapy or in some instances consent from a doctor will be required. Brook House Massage is unable to offer massage therapy during pregnancy. If there is any concern regarding offering massage therapy to you, the massage therapist reserves the right to refuse treatment and seeking medical advice may be recommended. Bookings, appointments, lateness & cancellations. You can book an appointment via the website, email or phone. Full payment for the treatment session is taken prior to the appointment, and in making this payment you agree to our 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time you will not receive a refund and you will lose your session. This is because the time and room allocation will have been reserved for you and therefore unavailable to anyone else. Please be on time for your appointment. If you arrive late it will result in a shorter session and the full fee will still apply. If you are more than 15 minutes late, it might not be practical to start at all. If this is the case or you miss the appointment completely, you will not receive a refund. Please inform your massage therapist at the earliest possibility if you think you are going to be late for your appointment. When more than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation is given you will have the option of receiving a full refund or rescheduling your appointment. Refunds can be requested at info@brookhousemassage.co.uk When arriving early for your appointment, please be aware that your therapist might be with another client. With this in mind, please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. Confidentiality Brook House Massage holds all records securely and will ensure the utmost confidentiality in the treatment of any information held about clients, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 All information will be kept confidential unless an occasion arises when both the client and massage therapist agree together to discuss something with a third party. The only reasons for breaking confidentiality would be if the massage therapist considered that your life was at risk, if another person’s life was at risk or if the massage therapist was liable to civil or criminal court proceedings if the information was not disclosed. If at all possible, this would be discussed with you beforehand. Full payment is taken prior to the appointment. Please note that in making this payment you agree to our 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time or if you miss your appointment, you will not receive a refund and you will lose your session.
